Edwards Stadium as the Thundering Herd went on to defeat Power Five opponent, the Virginia Tech Hokies 24-17.  For every game this season, Marshall University incorporated a “We Are …” theme.  This game’s chosen theme was “We Are … Striping The Joan!” where stadium sections alternately dressed in green and white to stripe Joan C. Edwards Stadium in Marshall’s school colors.
