Nebraska Cornhuskers - Memorial Stadium
This panoramic photo was taken on October 21, 2023, marking the 100-year anniversary of Memorial Stadium. The facility opened on October 13, 1923, and was named Memorial Stadium to honor the men and women of World War I. It has seen several updates since then, expanding its capacity to over 85,000, and adding many modern amenities, rating it as one of the nation's best game day experiences and earning the designation as one of the "Cathedrals of College Football" by The Sporting News. Due to their diehard fan base, Nebraska boasts and impressive sell-out streak dating back to November 3, 1962, and standing at 389 consecutive games at the start of the 2023 season. Big Red marked this anniversary celebration by defeating the Northwestern Wildcats 17 -9.
