The venue was renamed to LaVell Edwards Stadium on November 18, 2000 after legendary coach LaVell Edwards. Today, the venue can seat over 60,000 BYU fans cheering on their favorite in the Football Bowl Subdivision. BYU Football home games are played at the base of the Wasatch Mountains, and consistently ranks among the top 25 in attendance nationally.
