The largest arena in the Big Ten with seating for 19,500 fans, Value City Arena opened in 1998 and pays tribute to Jerome Schottenstein, the late Columbus businessman and philanthropist. The Buckeyes® played their first basketball game in 1898 and have attended the NCAA tournament every decade since the 1930's.
