It opened in 1968 on 720 acres of property. Today, the Raceway has more than doubled in size and become one of the premier motorsports venues in the country, hosting 340 days of racing activity each year. The course is a complex series of twists and turns that go up and down the hills. The Raceway is located just 30 minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.
