This panoramic photo, taken on April 6, 2025, captures the NHL Ceremony celebrating Alex Ovechkin as the new NHL All-Time Goals Leader.  The NHL paused the game for over ten minutes after Ovechkin scored goal number 895, to celebrate the breaking of Wayne Gretzky’s career regular season goal record.  Ovechkin’s mother, wife, children, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman, and the Great One, Wayne Gretzky, joined him on ice for the mid-game ceremony.  Ovechkin set the all-time scoring record in his 20th NHL season, playing in 1,487 games.
